This is a very doleful way to end the Old Testament, but it has been a book of expectations. Therefore, I think that the emphasis should be on verse 2 of this chapter: “But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.” The Old Testament does not close with only a curse.
